Our Story
Wanting the best for her Border Collie cross Bear, Labrina knew she wasn’t alone in searching for dog treats she felt good about using. Becoming a Certified Dog Trainer in 2017 heightened her awareness of the need for healthy high-value treats that are easy to store and use. Curious about what is in most dog food and treats on the market, she began researching canine nutrition.
With the health and well-being of her dogs- Bear and Ellie- as well as her clients' dogs in mind, she got to work reading labels and researching every ingredient. After learning what is actually in the treats we feed our dogs, she was compelled to start making one-ingredient dehydrated treats and chews for her own dogs. They LOVED eating them as much as she loved making them. When her clients started asking what treats she was using at home, and after their dogs had the same enthusiastic response to the taste as her own dogs did, she knew it was time to start K9 Bites.
Our online store currently offers four types of treats, all made with a single ingredient and no dyes, chemicals, by-products, soy, wheat or corn.
